With Grace

Grace Coddington, former model and current creative director of Vogue Us.

As most of you may know, although she has been working as Anna Wintour’s right hand for the past 23 years , it was only after she appeared in the fashion documentary and movie “The September Issue” that Grace was brought to fame. Not only for her undeniable talent and vision for beautiful scenery, but also for her witty way to approach work and more importantly, for her cat and dog relation with her boss, Ana Wintour, editor in chief of Vogue Us also since 23 years.

 

The last being I guess one of the main reason why she reached the heart of such  large number of person…

 

 

As you may have heard, Anna Wintour, has often been referred to (if not always) as an; ice queen, untouchable, cold and heartless, bob headed robot… (to name a few) I guess that if she had been a man in the same position, people would have simply called “her” a great businessman but she’s a woman, therefore, she must be a bitch… Remember the movie and book “The Devil wears Prada” which was supposed to be based on her character…

 

Anyway…Where was I going? Ah yes! So after seeing Grace and her outspoken ways facing one of the scariest person in the fashion world (after Lady gaga), people just fell in love with her character. Suddenly she was propelled from the second or third row to the envied front row during all the fashion shows.

 

Another thing to love about Grace is that even if she lives and breathes fashion, her style is very simple, discrete yet elegant… And personally, I loved the modesty with which she agreed to pose for me.
