With the temperature slowly rising, I now feel like ditching my jeans for some less covering items. So when I saw, in my local textile store, this piece of fabric laying in the clearance basket, I thought it would be just perfect for a little summer skirt…!
I was first attracted by its color but it is its linen texture that won me over. To be honest I am pretty sure this fabric was intended for home wear or tableware, but who cares? I just love it as it is! The nice thing is that I could convert one of its own multicolor stripe into a cute waistband.
As I was already busy with other more important projects, I decided to use a very simple design which I could sew in just a few hours… So I went for a little gathered high-waisted skirt.
I cannot wait to wear it… As soon as I do, I will show you some pictures!
But tell me… What would you pair it with?

It’s such a nice skirt, I love everything from the color to the shape… I wish I could sew as good as you!

Well, I wish I could draw like you 😉 But unfortunatelly we can’t have it all :-S
Ah yes the white tee can be a good idea too… I tried it with a soft yellow tee yesterday and it turned out nice as well.
As soon as I can… Pictures!

Actually, have my own shop or boutique would be my dream… Let see if I can make it happen in the future.
I was thinking to maybe do (when I’ll have time) a tutorial about this skirt… If it’ll be before you try so it could be helpfull for you. Have a nice day!
