My Week in Instagram’s

Happy Monday my Dears! Are you following me on Instagram? Those of you who do will have probably already seen most of these pictures but for all the others… Here is a little recap of my last week in Instagram’s:

Last week I got busy and made one wedding dress with a silk fabric ordered specially for the occasion from one of my trusted supplier. This dress will be part of an upcoming capsule collection from which any of you will be able to order from 😉

Made out of a very fine silk and using more than 6 meters of fabrics, I wanted this gown to be  light and airy and as I am a fan of nude backs, I designed it with a cut out back. Don’t forget to check my professional website to learn more about the process.

I also spent a lot of time sketching and drawing as it allows me to visualize and organize each of my ideas.

I bought a vintage trim which I am really looking forward to use, in one of my favorite Milanese vintage shop: Cavalli e Nastri (via Giacomo Mora 3/12). If you are passing by Milan, you absolutely need to visit their stores!

Then I made myself a full circle skirt, using one African wax fabric “borrowed” from my mum. I fell in love with this print years ago, but it never left her sight… And last week, she finally agreed to give it to me!

I wore my newly self made red headband and a few days later, when the sun finally came back, I decided to take my little red dress out in the town.

I ate… Obviously! ~ I went into La Rinascente and discovered this awsome African designers corner in the middle of their high end womenswear department, which was a beautiful surprise. The collection are part of the initiative, Fashion4Development which helps and supports the economic development of communities worldwide ~ I received a cute little present from my favorite Italian press office, Negri Firman, which got me thinking about the perfect summer sandals to go with, as seen at Mauro Leone ~ I went out, also went to the cinema and watched the Great Gatsby (I don’t care what anyone says, I really enjoyed it!)

Aaaaah The sun was here all week… What a bliss! And on Thursday, Throwback Thursday to be exact, I got to reminisce about my time at the house of Alexander McQueen…
