Mademoiselle C

Last night, before going to bed, I watched the first 5 minutes of a very anticipated documentary… Mademoiselle C. “C” as in Carine Roitfeld! The former editor of Vogue Paris who has since created her own response to fashion magazines with her highly acclaimed CR Fashion Book.

I had the chance to photograph Carine a couple of time (here and there) and I have to admit that I really like her… Yes I am a fan! Fan of the work she accomplished over the years, of her unique vision, but also fan of her simplicity and kindness, more accessible and warmer than Anna Wintour she represents the French cool at its best. This new film by Fabien Constant is undoubtedly an unofficial response to the September Issue.

Although it was late and I had already finished my two “tartines à la confiture” I would have love to watch the complete movie. But unfortunately, you and I will have to wait until September the 11th for it’s theater release… Until then, here are your 5 minutes of Carine!
