Here are some pictures from an evening I spend at the Maison Particulière in Brussels. A beautiful space which I didn’t know existed until I was invited last week to attend their private fashion show.
Maison Particulière‘s mission is to bring to light and to the public, some of the finest art pieces from Belgium most assiduous collectors. And while art cannot only be define by paintings, pictures or objects, they invited 5 of the most talented fashion graduated to showcase their art during a intimate fashion show.
My two favorite were Eddy Anemian from La Cambre and Wim Bruynooghe from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Eddy who took his inspiration from the actress Tilda Swinton presented an intricate collection layering “flowery camouflage” and upholstery fabrics (see picture above). While Wim showcased a more graphic collection (see first image) made mainly out of pastel colored polyurethane and wools, enhancing them with some of his own very delicate drawings. The later one being my absolute coup de coeur!
If you are in Brussels and looking for some inspiration, I suggest you to visit the Maison Particulière as it is open to the public 😉
