As I didn’t get a chance to dance on the tables of the infamous Studio 54 in New-York, I decided to spend my Saturday afternoon at the creative Studio 53 in Brussels instead. I couldn’t resist to their sample sale invitation as it was the perfect occasion to visit a new place while doing some shopping, or in my case, window shopping.
Own by Martin and his fashion designer girlfriend Sarah Josis, Studio 53 is the Brussels antidote to Andy Warhol’s Factory, minus the drama. First of all, the space is just amazing! And secondly, the mix of talented creatives (designers, hat maker, painter, etc…) who permanently work there, makes it a very inspiring place to be.
Among them, I had the opportunity to chat with the lovely Silvia Galli, who gave me a little visual communication tutorial, and the adorable Virginie from Shoe on the Cake. By the way, have you seen the selection of shoes she offers on her site? Yes…I already have my eyes on a few pairs!
