A few years ago, the Musée Bourdelle of Paris curated a beautiful exhibition dedicated to the fashion designer and sculptor, Madame Grès. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to see it for myself, so when I heard that the Mode Museum of Antwerp was, in is turn, displaying Madame Grès’ collection, I had to go!
Taken backstage at the San Andrès show in Rome, this photo reunites my favorite model wearing one of my favorite piece from the collection! And just for you, below the image, you can find a video from the show itself, which will give you the opportunity to see all the clothes in movement. Hope you will enjoy it! Last weekend I finally had the opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Rome! The reason being that I was invited to the fashion show of San Andrès, a Milan based label who I have been working with for the past three months. Unlike the show I normally attend during the fashion weeks, this one was a lot more special to me as I realized some of the outfits that went down the runaway… You can imagine how cool it was to see them in motion!
Here is a fun picture of Tamu McPherson and Gabriele Verratti from Grazia.it. Although the weather was not really favorable to any fashion extravaganza, I admire Tamu’s use of colors which helped brighten up the day a little. Plus look at her shoes…
I know, I know… Eleonora and Viviana are very beautiful and everything but a men fashion week without the men is like an apple crumble without the apples… Therefor here are some men..! “Unfortunately” Dolce & Gabbana decided to use real people instead of models (um excuse me, aren’t model real??) so I didn’t get to see that many of them out there (no Adam Senn this time) but I did tried my best…
Right after asking Eleonora to flip her dress, I saw the lovely Viviana Volpicella coming out of the Dolce & Gabbana show. She was wearing a cute little coat and a pair of sneakers… So I thought to myself: “You have to ask her to so something sporty, something different… I mean, it not not every day that you catch her in flats…” So I asked her to jump. And… She did!!
Yesterday was the first day of the menswear fashion week in Milan… Time to catch up with our girl, Eleonora Carisi… She was wearing a gorgeous green leather dress, so I could help but ask her to give me a little twirl to bring her whole outfit to life!
A new year always calls for an analysis of the past one. So as most media did their retrospective of 2012, I too thought that I should share with you some of my favorite pictures and moments of the past year.
Like I previously told you, writing this blog gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of nice, stylish and very talented people, some of them whom I have taken in picture and other not. Some who I am close to and other less, but one thing is sure: all of them are interesting in their own way..!
So here is a little selection of my favorite shots from some of my favorite fashionista of the year 2012!
Last Saturday, I spent a few hours with the lovely Chiara Ferragni for an improvised outdoor photo shooting session. For those of you who don’t know her, she is the author behind the famous personal style and travel blog, The Blonde Salad. But blogging isn’t the only string to her bow. This busy Italian girl has has been creating an accessories collection for Mango Touch, underwear in collaboration with Yamamay but also has her own eponymous shoe line… Just to name a few..!
