The Sartorialist, Vogue and I

Here is a picture I was meaning to share with you for some time…

Me by: The Sartorialist! (internal Woop Woop!)

[spacer]

The picture was taken during the Milan fashion week while Claire Sulmers and I were both shooting Denni Elias. Actually the same afternoon Anna Dello Russo’s dog made me jump… I could see Scott from the corner of my eyes taking our picture but I have to say I was still surprised and very, VERY happy when I saw it in his Outside Dolce Gabbana post! Especially as I was wearing a shirt I actually made myself! I really love this shot as it is so natural and so me even if you don’t see my face! What do you think?

Below another picture of me and my little shirt by Stefano Coletti for Vogue Black!

A huge thank you to Scott and Stefano!

Carine’s Cool / Christmas Wishlist

With the holidays approaching, everyone is now thinking about gifts. What to give, what to get… Stores, magazines and television started to bombard us with their Christmas campaigns, making everything and anything the ultimate must have of the season, or even of “our life”.

I too started to compile a wish list of things that I would like to have, but as I will probably get half of the third of what I wished for (a loft in NY, Tamara Mellon’s insane wardrobe??) I told myself: If you have to be unrealistic, do it properly!

The Dolce & Gabbana Glamazones

Laetitia Casta might be the face of Dolce & Gabbana’s new fragrance but these girls are definitely the brand’s new ambassadresses! Or as I renamed them, the Dolce & Gabbana Glamazones.

What better occasion to discover some of the looks from our favorite Italian duo than with the most stylist international fashion bloggers? I shot them outside the show in Milan last month as part of my collaboration with Luisa Via Roma and thought it would be interesting to reunite them all on one page. Although they were all wearing clothes from the same collection, they managed to stay true to their personal styles.

Venezia

I must have heard about Venezia  a hundred times and seen pictures of it’s bridges and canals over and over again but it certainly didn’t stop me from being in awe as soon as I set foot in this iconic and magnificent city…

I guess my first moment of amazement was when I got off the train and arrived on the steps of the Santa Lucia station. It was surreal! Seeing all those gondolas, water buses, the buildings which reflected themselves in the water, the Gothic architecture… I almost felt like being on a movie set.

Catherine Kallon

I love those pictures of Catherine. Catherine Kallon is the girl behind the highly addictive site Red Carpet Fashion Awards. I say addictive because every time I happen to visit her blog for a quick fix on the latest trends from the red carpet, I end up browsing her pages much longer than planned. The cause? Her full collection of celebrity styles and that little arrow at the end of each page that keep me saying “This is the last page I’m watching… Ok just one more… Ok another one…” Then half an hour later, instead of working, I am still in front of my computer browsing through her archives like a little nerd …

Costanza Pascolato

Have you seen Garance Doré latest posts? She published two very interesting interviews of Costanza Pascolato. It actually reminded me that I shot her during Milan fashion Week. It was outside the Armani show. I told her how much I loved her style, her elegance and her little cut out cardigan… She kindly thanked me, said that at her age she was trying her best to dress tastefully and that her top was from Carven… Look at her, isn’t she flawless?
