Just Shoes #5

I know, it’s been a while! This is why I am giving you one pair of shoes for every day of absence. I mean, approximately… It isn’t because summer is officially over that one can no longer dream about open toe sandals, summer flats and colorful platforms….

In fact, even though I have introduce some of my coats and trenchs back in my daily outfits am still running around with my well worn favorite ballerinas. What about you, are you still wearing your summer/spring shoes? I guess I will still be keeping some pairs at reach for upcoming evening events…

Front Row Faces

Here are some pictures I took during Milan Fashion Week inside the Costume National and Versace shows. Sometimes the action is not the one taking place on the catwalk but what goes on around it… So while waiting for the shows to start, I decided to take a stroll down the runaway still covered in plastic sheets and photograph my fellow front row show goers.

The front row is considered by far, as the ultimate acknowledgement of your social status. If fashion shows could be compared to credit cards, sitting front row would be like owning an American Express Centurion! The more important is the designer the more prestigious you feel. Plus let’s be honest, you do see the clothes way better sitting front row than you do in the tenth..!

Kate Moss

Does this picture need any introduction? I mean, Kate Moss!!! Yes, Kate Moss was in Milan and I got the chance to get a little glimpse of her. And let me tell you that it wasn’t easy, as when queen Kate arrives in town, the whole city comes to see her!

She was there to celebrate her new collaboration with the shoe label Stuart Weitzman and her striking appearance in their video. I wasn’t expecting very much of it but I have to say I quite like the video. Especially as it was shot in London which I miss… Plus the song reminds me of my drawing lesson at Central St Martin as my art teacher was playing it 2-3 times in a row at each lessons so much he found it inspiring…

Outside the shows

I just found those two pictures of me on Vogue It by Stefano Coletti. They were taken a few days ago outside the show, during Milan Fashion week. The first one was taken outside the Armani venue as I was waiting for the invitees to arrive. Failing to have a chair, I decide to sit on the first semblance of a chair around and this is how I ended up on a scooter… The other one was taken outside the Gucci venue in Piazza Oberdan.

Marpessa

Below is one of my favorite shot of the week! I really love this picture of Dolce & Gabban’s muse and model, Marpessa Hennink. I ran into her right after their show and I just loved how she looked just as beautiful as when she started modeling years ago. Plus her expression was so spontaneous. Plus I would like to be able to pull off leopard pants with such class…

This photo is part of the street style series I shot for Luisa Via Roma. You can see the full album, including the one and only Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, Eleonora Carisi, Thassia Naves, Chiara Ferragni,…right here!

La Nonchalante

I love the look of this girl! Her shiny hair, her poise but more than anything, the way she wore her outfit in the most nonchalant way… Nothing on her seems to be ironed while her shorts are unevenly rolled up but that’s exactly what I love about it!

She almost look like she is in her pyjamas and yet, her slick long shiny dark hair and futuristic shoes shows us that even though her look seems unpolished, she knew exactly what she was doing.

Jumping Models at Hogan

Here is my first post from this season Milan fashion week and I have to say, it started very well! First of all the weather was just perfect, not too hot and not too cold which makes working very easy.

Then as usual, I was happy to catch up with my fashion week friends, especially the sweet Ingrid Chua, with whom I went to the Hogan presentation to celebrate their second design collaboration with stylist and editor, Katie Grand. The collection was playful as the last one but with an added touch of glam… To supplement the collection, they introduced some lingerie and leather pieces.

Siblings Factory

Last week I went to the opening of a really nice space in the heart of Brussels, Siblings Factory! Located in the quartier Dansaert, this concept store gathers, under the same roof, a very nice selection of clothes and furniture.

Clothes, tables, chairs, lamps, pretty much everything is on sale! I completely fell in love with their vintage inspired cabinets like the one below. This is exactly what I would need in my new apartment… Aside from that I also loved their decoration and the whole atmosphère of the shop really. How not to like those cute paper birds..?
