It’s official, we won’t have a summer*… Don’t shoot me, I read it in the news! So, to mourn in style, I went back to my fashion week pictures archives and dug you up my favorites all black outfits from last season. Without forgetting its best accomplice…. Leather. When wearing black leather in plain summer is likely to make you suffocate, in this “fake spring” it will definitely make you stand out…. Because, let’s face it. Nothing is cooler than a dash of leather; shorts, jackets, bags, shoes… Anything goes!
Hi Everybody! Here is a little video I was really eager to show you… A few month ago, I had the opportunity to be filmed by the Fikera Studio as part of their handmade documentary series!
Shot over two weeks during the realization of a wedding dress for one of my client, this video will give you a little insight into my world, my work and my passion for the craftsmanship.
It has been a while since my last Video Inspirations post so let me share with you this “maxi” post, full of new or just interesting videos…
Starting with one my my favorite girl of the moment, Cara Delevingne! Staring in the music video of her pal, Rita Ora, she exudes her cool attitude as usual owning her title as the chicest rebel… Plus one for Rita!
Hello my dear Readers! Let’s talk about hair today, and more especially about hair accessories… If I had to name my favorite hair accessory, it would certainly have to be, the headband… I wear them nearly all the time, winter or summer, it really makes no difference. When it is cold, I wear knitted wool ones but during the summertime I prefer them in lighter fabric such as cotton and silk.
What do I like about them? Well… They are so easy to wear, especially with my type of hair which I could name the unpredictable kind. Believe me, they really did save my life (or at least my appearance) more times that you could ever imagine! You just need to put them on and… Voilà! You are dressed! But I guess their best feature is that they can even make you look sophisticate when in reality you were just trying to hide a bad hair day..!
Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Luckily, the sun remade an appearance on Saturday, after a week of “tropical” rain, so I jumped at the chance to wear my newly made little printed dress…
As you must know by now, if you have been following me here and on Instagram, I love making clothes for myself as much as for others… With a special preference for summer clothes and dresses.
The sun is starting to make an appearance, and thus I can allow myself to dream about spring and summer outfits…
As you all know if you are leaving in north or central Europe… We haven’t really been blessed in terms of weather. In fact I keep saying that although we are in April, it feels like September… At least that is what I thought until I came across the picture of this stylish girl, taken… last September..! I don’t know about you but I haven’t been able to go around dressed like that without freezing myself since last year, what brought me to say… No it doesn’t feel like September… It feels much worse!
Discovering the Dolce & Gabbana Autumn Winter 2013-14 collection was like entering into a sanctuary of pure beauty… After showing you the shoes and bags on Friday, let me continue with some pieces from the collection itself… What could seems like a patchwork of printed colors from the runaway, was in reality an extremely meticulous and delicate work of beading and embroidery executed by the fingertips of expert seamstresses.
I cannot give you a precise estimation on how many hours of work are needed to complete one single piece of outfit, but I know from experience that it should definitely be counted in days if not weeks…
The “Spirito Santo” himself must have been leaning on the shoulders of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana when they design this collection as divine was their inspiration and so was the collection!
Thanks to my dear friend Ingrid, I had the opportunity to discover the entire Autumn Winter 2013-14 collection up close and personal a day after the show in the Dolce Gabbana head office in Milan. I cannot tell you how happy I was especially as I was already a fan of this collection after seeing it on Style.com…
First of all let me wish you all, a beautiful Easter holiday! I hope you had a great time with your family and/or friends!
For my part, I decided to take the little red dress I made recently, out for a walk on the beach..! As I spent my Easter holiday in Puglia, I thought it would be the perfect scenery for my dress’ first day out away from the atelier.
As you must know, I love wearing colors, and red is one of my favorite… So no wonder that when I saw my friend Maria Kolosova outside the Armani show last month, I had to take her picture!
I absolutely loved the way she interpreted this trend by adopting a bright red oversize coat onto a simple black top and jeans. The whole could have look very casual on it’s own but the coat makes it elegant and so glamorous… Plus, you have got to love that hat and her gold tipped shoes !
